What Are GMO's?
​GMO's are genetically modified organisms.  These organism's are typically viral genes, bacteria, plants or animals that are created by splicing genes; which in turn alter the DNA of a species by introducing DNA from other animals, plants, or microbes into the organism.


​What Is The Purpose?
​It has been stated by top GMO producing companies that the purpose of GMO production is, it is scientifically/theoretically beneficial.  Reported to produce higher crop yields, improve nutrient content, improve flavor, and produce bug/pesticide resistant seeds.  These companies play both sides of the fence, also creating the companion herbicides and pesticides used to help nurse the crops.

Our First GMO Sighting
In 1982 the FDA (Food & Drug Administration),approves first GMO.  Humulin, insulin produced by genetically engineered E.coli bacteria, appears on the market. 
​In 1994 GMO's Hit Grocery Stores.  The FDA approves the Flavr Savr Tomato for sell on grocery store shelves.

​Today's Market
​It is estimated that around 80% of the food on the market today is genetically enhanced or modified says The California Department Of Food & Agulture.

​Gmo's have nested themselves in our everyday lives, and without paying particular attention you could easily consume them.  Being that science is a set of proven theories, there has not been enough experimentation on GMO's to know the effects on the human body.  It is theoretically assumed GMO's may cause, nervous system disorders, food allergies, serious organ damage, and even some cancers. 

We Are Our Environment
With a rise is GMO production, of course there would be a rise is pesticide use.  This increase has been environmentally recognized in rain water, ground water, and air samples.  And as if that wasnt enough, a significant percentage of pregnant women are said to have GMO toxins in them and give them to their baby.

Importance Of Your Adrenal Glands

The Adrenal Glands are about 3-4 inch sized organs which sit above your kidneys.  These glands are a part of the endocrine system, also known as the suprarenal glands.  They are involved in producing approximately 50 Life Essential Hormones.

Hormones are chemical messengers that are secreted directly into the blood, which carries them to organs and tissues of the body to exert their functions. There are many types of hormones that act on different aspects of bodily functions and processes either directly or indirectly.   Hormones are used to communicate between organs and tissues for physiological regulation and behavioral activities, such as digestion, metabolism, respiration, tissue function, sensory perception, sleep, excretion, lactation, stress, growth and development, movement, reproduction, and mood.  Mineralocorticoidsare hormones maintain healthy blood pressure and regulate salt and water.  But all this is beside the point for the time being.

Now the adrenal glands work closely with the hypothalamus and the pituitary gland in a system known as the hypothalamus-pituitary-adrenal axis (HPA-axis).  They react to each other as well as respond to conditions and functions in the body in an intricate and highly sensitive balancing act.  Adrenals also play a big role in Stress response.  How it works is, your brain registers a threat physically, mentally, or emotionally.  Immediately after this, the adrenals medulla releases adrenaline hormones to help your reaction to the threat.  Blood rushes to your muscles, brain, and heart.  After this process the adrenal cortex then releases corticosteroids to slow down processes like digestion, immune system response, as well as other unnecessary for immediate survival bodily functions.

What Is Adrenal Fatigue?

Adrenal fatigue or hypoadrenia are terms used in alternative medicine to describe the unscientific belief that the adrenal glands are exhausted and unable to produce adequate quantities of hormones, primarily the glucocorticoid cortisol, due to chronic stress or infections.  (Note: Stress whether it be acute, prolonged, or chronic, is thought to be the leading cause of adrenal fatigue.)
